Deena has been at Farr West Animal Hospital since we opened in 2010. She is the office manager at Farr West Animal Hospital and has been a veterinary technician for over 15 years. She loves what she does. She is married to her soul mate and they have 3 wonderful children.  Their oldest is currently serving our country in the US army.  Deena has a German Wirehaired Pointer named Burley, which she and her family love to go bird hunting with. She also has Sarah Jane, a Standard Poodle.  The things she loves most about her job here at Farr West are helping animals so they can have a great life, and the wonderful relationships she develops with our clients.

Stephanie is the mother of two children, Sadie and Caleb.  She is also the mother of four fur children, Lily, Peaches, Kuzco and Neo.  In her free time she likes to curl up with her family and watch a movie or her favorite sports team, the Miami Dolphins.  One of her favorite things to do in the summer is to pack up her family and go on adventure.  She loves to camp and also loves the beach and soaking up the sun.  Animals have always been a big part of her life.  Her favorite past time as a little girl was saving all the stray animals in her neighborhood.

Alyssa S.

Alyssa grew up in California and moved to Utah in 2011 where she began managing a large boarding facility in Salt Lake City.  During this time she attended Broadview University for a degree in Veterinary Technology, and in 2016 she passed her Veterinary Technician National Exam. Alyssa has 2 Coonhounds; Jane and Judd, a Pitbull named Gemma, and 4 cats; Coraline, Willie, Waylon, and Cash.  She also houses a 60 year old Utah State Desert Tortoise named Titus.  In her free time Alyssa loves to take her cat Cash camping, fishing, and kayaking. She also loves hiking with all of her dogs.  It has been her childhood dream to own a farm with every kind of livestock and as many rescue Pitbulls as possible.

Makaela graduated in 2018 from Broadview University with an Associate degree in Veterinary Technology.  She has been an animal lover since she was born.  She has spent most of her life caring for a variety of different animals, and has always wanted a career in the veterinary field.  It's been a dream of her's ever since she was young and she is happy to say that it is now a reality! She loves coming to work and being surrounded by animals and having the opportunity to help them. She has four dogs and one cat. In her free time she loves going camping at the sand dunes.  She also loves to pile up on the couch at home with all of her animals and watch a good movie.

Makenzi has been a veterinary technician since 2016 and a groomer's apprentice since 2018. She started as a tech in a human ER but didn't feel like that was where she belonged and wanted to pursue her dream of working with animals.  Makenzi has always had such a love for animals. In her spare time she raises and adopts out stray kittens.  She has three fur babies of her own; a Chesapeake Lab named Cooper, and two cats, T'Challa and M'Buku. When Makenzi isn't working as a vet tech she's grooming or snuggling up with her fur babies watching a show.
